About Dr. Suarez
Dr. Suarez grew up in Glendale, California, where a Jesuit education at Loyola High School of Los Angeles grounded two habits that still define him: lifelong learning and a life of community service. He graduated Cum Laude from high school and again Cum Laude with a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. His first job in the field came during college summer breaks, working as an oral surgeon's assistant, and the path was set.
He earned his DDS from the UCLA School of Dentistry, then completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. At the end of residency he was invited to a post-doctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, where he obtained subspecialty training in orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and maxillofacial pathology while teaching as a per diem attending physician in the Kaiser Permanente system.
In practice, Dr. Suarez is known as one of the easiest, most empathic surgeons to talk to. He maintains dental and general anesthesia licenses in California and Alaska, holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support, and dedicates his time to staying current in evidence-based medicine, anesthesia, and surgical technique. Above all he sees himself as a patient advocate: his goal is that you feel safe, comfortable, and reassured at every visit.

Family, mountains, and Alaska
Dr. Suarez spends his free time with his wife and their three children, sharing his love of the outdoors: rock climbing, hiking, camping, and mountaineering. When he is not in the office, you will often find him backpacking through Alaska.
That love of Alaska grew into service. Dr. Suarez has spent years extending access to care for underserved patients, work that reaches from Redding classrooms to rural Alaska.
